Position: Account Coordinator – Logistics/Freight Management – Westlake, Ohio

Ardmore Power Logistics, LLC, a 3PL Company serving the energy industry, regularly has openings for Account Coordinators. To fill these positions, Ardmore seeks responsible, professional candidates with transportation experience and strong decision making skills.

As a member of the Ardmore team, you will participate in the overall success of a dynamic freight-management program that is aimed at providing logistics support to the general operations of the energy companies it serves. Specifically, as an Account Coordinator, you will be responsible to oversee and implement a customized freight-management program for a particular customer or customers. Account Coordinators must be able to exercise discretion in choosing the best transportation options for their customers.

A typical workday is a fast paced and involves heavy phone and written communication with customers, carriers and vendors. It may also involve working on long term projects aimed at improving a customer’s freight management program. You will be required to manage project transportation; negotiate carrier rates and contracts; analyze traffic volume, cost savings, and carrier compliance and develop strategies to enhance a customer’s freight management program. You will often be responsible for purchasing specialized transportation involving significant dollar amounts on behalf of a customer.

Your success will be linked to your participation in fostering a team environment, your cultivation of partnerships with customers and their suppliers and your ability to achieve cost savings for your customer(s).

A well qualified applicant would have a minimum of two years work experience in the transportation industry and a degree in transportation, logistics, supply-chain management or other business related discipline. Good decision-making skills are a must. Strong communications skills, both written and verbal, are required. Computer skills with particular emphasis on Microsoft Excel are required.
